The Pirkei Avot is a compilation of the ethical teachings and maxims from Rabbinical Jewish tradition. It is very old, before the time of the Buddha.
Look, read, it is interesting, there are 6 maxims here under, you will understand it I believe, otherwise we will look at it when we meet again.
1. “If you save a life, you are saving a whole world.”
2. “If not now, when?”
3. “The main thing is not study, but doing.”
4. “Judge every person favorably.”
5. “Do not judge your fellow until you have stood in his place.”
6. “Be cautious regarding the people in power. Because they only befriend a person when it serves all. They appear as friends when it suits them, but they do not stand by a man in his time of need.”
